Outfit Of The Day: Leather Dress

I actually couldn't contain my excitement when I found this dress. I went to Nordstrom Rack and typically I'm not too thrilled on going because I really never find anything too great or I find something that is cheap and end up never wearing it. But this time...oh ho ho... this time... I hit the $$jackpot$$. This dress is BCBG and was originally $178 and marked down to $29.97! (Yes, the three cents makes a large difference). While they didn't have my size and I ended up with a size too big, I like it because it makes it less form fitting and more boxy. Hooray for bargains!

Trend Report: Geometric-Print Pants - Cropped Edition

Officially obsessed! I want to throw on a pair with a white button up shirt, cat eye sunglasses, heels,  fake nails and feel like a 1960s housewife! Ohhhhh yessss.

NYC fashion class!

While I was in NYC, I attended a summer fashion program at LIM college where I learned more in depth about the business of fashion. It was a great experience and I learned a ton! I also ate a ton (blame NYC style pizza)/drank a ton of coffee (excuse: I was in the city that never sleeps!!). Knowledge increase = weight gain. Woohoo!

While this trend isn't completely new to the scene, noting designers like Stella McCartney and Akris debuting tropical prints in 2011, it seems as if it's been getting extra attention lately.

Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 Collection

Carousels and cap toe shoes; this is probably one of my favorite Louis Vuitton shows. When the large white curtain in the middle of the circular runway rose up, it revealed models dressed in pretty pastels and playful collars. The clothes remind me of a modernized version of what a 50s woman would wear on Easter. Here are some of my favorites from the show (notice the cap toe shoes):
